Valentines day is on the way. I felt this quote would find a way to touch just about everyone. Those who are in love, those who wish they were in love, those who wish they weren't in love and those who have been scorned:

To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering one must not love. But then one suffers from not loving. Therefore to love is to suffer, not to love is to suffer. To suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love. To be happy then is to suffer. But suffering makes one unhappy. Therefore, to be unhappy one must love, or love to suffer, or suffer from too much happiness. you are right, Jesus came to teach love; he taught it so simply, we messed it up a lot, LOL "love the Lord your God and your neighbor as yourself"

true...i think??? It sounds like the poems I was writing when i was 16 and in a very strange place! I guess the way you interpret words is very personal, and like art there is not necessarily a right and wrong interpretation. I think i will stop before i embarass myself. take care mrs t xx
