The Road Not Taken

Poem lyrics of The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Beautiful picture. It has been a very long time since I had to memorize that poem and ever once in awhile, I think about it even though I couldn't remember it exactly but the message got to me. You can bet I take the road less traveled...alice

Oh I love this. FOr some reason it reminded me how the boys and I wandered off purposely on a deer made path just to see where it went and if we could find deer horns that had shed off after a long winter! LOVE FALL, love the PICTURE!

I have definitely taken the road less traveled a lot of times in my life, and oh yes, it HAS made all the difference, and no, I do NOT regret it.  If I had taken the other path, I would be in deep regret today.

Story of my life...I have almost always taken the most difficult journey's. I wouldn't know what to do if life was meant to be serene without some difficulty. In all honesty I think my personality craves the challenge. (Hugs) Indigo
