How do I keep going? Part 1

How Do I Keep Going?

Endurance, in the face of impossibility, is what separates those who succeed from those who just get by.

Nothing is really impossible.  Dreams just SEEM impossible.  Have you ever been lying in bed at night and a wonderful idea come across you mind.  It could be anything from an invention, to a business to the love of your life.  For arguments sake lets say it’s an invention you came up with.  You lie there and figure our how to make it, where to get the supplies, who you will need to hire to create it, sell it and handle the office.  You figure out who you will market your product to and how much you will sell it for.  By the time you wake up in the morning you have already made your first million and are working on remodeling you house with the money you made.

You are on fire!  You are excited and certain that this idea is going to work.  You then begin to share your idea with your spouse, parents or other family members.  As you explain your wonderful idea what do they do?  Do they get behind you, inspire you and start brainstorming ways to give it a shot or do they start shooting it with holes?  It’s most likely the later.  Next, you run to your friend and try to share your exciting news with them as well. I can be fairly certain that you meet with a bit of resistance at the very least.  By the end of the day you probably have completely given up on the idea and are convinced that it was a foolish dream and a ridiculous idea.  Then, six months to a year later, some Bozo on TV has an infomercial selling YOUR invention!

Sometimes the biggest dream busters are the people we love.

Other times it may be obstacle after obstacle.  If this is the case, your attitude will be the only thing that makes difference between mediocrity and success.

Take a look at the video below and we will talk more tomorrow about impossibility.
